How It Started

From two separate crafts to one shared business.

Kayla founded KD Alchemy Media in 2021 after years of working as a professional photographer, managing social media for companies both in-house and as a freelancer, and creating video content for her own platforms and other projects. She also helped businesses develop their branding, building a foundation in the creative and strategic sides of marketing that would eventually shape KD Alchemy Media.

During those same years, Doug was honing his skills behind the camera, building on his photography expertise and expanding into film and drone production. In 2024, he joined the business full-time, bringing their individual strengths together under one shared vision.

That’s where the name comes in. Alchemy is about what happens when the right elements coalesce. Beautiful content without strategy can only go so far, and strong marketing without compelling visuals can struggle to capture attention. When creative storytelling, branding, and strategic marketing work together, they transform the raw ingredients of a business into a brand people recognize, connect with, and remember.

Kayla took a risk, left her job & founded KD Alchemy Media, landing her first client a month later. She still works with them today.
